Artwork Statement 作品簡介 

A contemporary reinterpretation of Tang Yin’s Court Ladies of Shu. The work depicts four women in modern fashion, asserting their identity through a selfie. It explores how the act of self-styling and self-documentation in the digital age empowers a shift from being historical subjects of the gaze to becoming authors of one’s own image, transforming a classical narrative into a personal statement of style and autonomy. 

《王蜀宮妓圖》當代版。 四位女性身著現代服飾，用自拍展現自主風格。 畫面探討如何在數位時代，透過自我創造，重新定義古典敘事中的女性形象。 

About Artist 關於藝術家 

Wong Chung Yi is a third-year student at Hong Kong Baptist University, where she passionately explores the possibilities of Chinese calligraphy and painting. She enjoys embedding intricate details within her works for viewers to discover, aiming to express an inner pursuit of beauty while responding to contemporary society through her art. 

王頌沂現就讀於香港浸會大學三年級，熱衷於探索書法和繪畫的可能性。她喜歡在畫中精心設計細節，等待觀眾發掘，並希望透過繪畫表達內心對美的追求，同時回應當代社會。
